The JamFactory Furniture Studio were commissioned by Woods Bagot to design and manufacture a large-scale custom reception unit for the Department for Transport and Infrastructure. Designed by Head of Furniture Studio, Andrew Carvolth, the reception unit was crafted using reclaimed timber from the Granite Island Causeway. With the development of a new purpose-built causeway between Victor Harbour and the island, timber from the old structure was allocated for repurposing in a range of community projects. The reception unit within the new Pirie Street headquarters celebrates the history and legacy of the old causeway.
